Darth Vader and the Vikings: The Rise of Sweden's Pirate Party - SPIEGEL ONLINE - News - International: "But what if the established parties simply plagiarize his demands? 'We're pirates,' says Engstrom. 'We love copying! If that happens, then we will have reached our objective and we will abolish ourselves.'"
Doesn't seem like we are talking about champions of human rights and personal integrity.

If you are calling yourself a Pirate in Sweden, that means you want a free Internet. Like pirate radio ment free radio and so on. (freedom, not free beer)
So if the other parties start taking democracy serious and stop all this crazy laws, then there is no need for a Pirate Party. It's that simple.
The thing is that the other parties doesn't understand Internet and the life people are living on the net. The Pirate Party is a reaction on this.
If all the other parties start respecting freedom of speech and understand that Internet is not a toy you can take away.
The politicians is supposed to be afraid of the people, the people are not supposed to be afraid of the politicians.
